State Tournament to begin!

Date: Wednesday 05/28/2008

Home vs Waterford Kettering 5:00PM

The District 14 bracket can be viewed [here]. Be advised that the times and dates are subject to change.

The Mavs played Kettering about a year ago and Kettering has improved since then. Last year's summary [here].

There is no seeding in the district match-ups. If you're a fan of Northville or Livonia Churchill, you're currently hating that rule. As we all know, this is a single elimination tournament. One loss ends a team's season.

Last years District opener saw the Lady Mavs winning perhaps their first ever District game with a 2-0 shutout of Waterford Mott. The Mavs then lost a 0-1 decision to eventual District champ Grand Blanc on a brutally hot afternoon.

*also*

At present, the probable opponent in the KVC crossover would either Hartland or Pinckney. This would be an away game and may help determine 3rd place in the KVC.
